Taillevent is one of the best French restaurants in Paris and one of my favorite restaurants. This is a three Michelin Stars restaurant when we ate there, unfortunately it was demoted to two Michelin stars in 2006. But I still think it's one of the best. The Frog legs risotto was out of this world, so was the soup with foie gras and croutons. The whole dining experience was excellent, from the moment we stepped into the restaurant, to the service and the food, everything was topnotch. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and we've tasted some of the nicest wine during our meal. It was painful when the bill came, but we both left smiling and totally satisfied. If you are in Paris and want to experience exceptional French fine dining, this is the place to go. Taillevent made the list for S.Pellegrino's Top 50 restaurants in the World: http://www.theworlds50best.com/2007_list.html

We really love this soup. We were so upset when we finished drinking it. Honestly, it was soo good that I wanted to lick off the bowl!!

Many people have tried Creme Brulee, but I bet not many people have tried Foie Gras Creme Brulee!! Excellent!!

Crab meat salad, very refreshing. Gan: Almost too beautiful to consume

Langoustines aux artichauts poivrade Gan: French seems to have great tasting shellfish - langoustines, homard lobster.

This is the best risotto I've ever tried. I can never eat risottos anywhere else after this! The froglegs complemented the risotto perfectly and it's surprisingly light.

Scallops with Celery Puree Gan: The celery puree was great. Rich and earthy. Scallops were cooked to perfection but the celery puree is the main focus.

Lamb

Bunny ears dessert

Chocolate Mousse Dessert

All dressed up for the dinner Gan:Smile fades away as soon as the bill arrives
